Hi, I'm Mandy.
I help women gain confidence in themselves for birth and motherhood.
Julie Pang says:
"Mandy taught me to trust myself. To listen. To accept. She helped me see that motherhood is about making it my own. Softening into the unknown, and embracing the unpredictability with an open heart. Through her teachings and the space she holds, I found a deep trust in my own worth as a mother. These lessons stay with me every day, shaping the way I show up for my two daughters who now look up to me. Mandy’s wisdom is a gift, one I will always be grateful for. I cannot recommend her enough."
Maria Souza says:
"I started the program with a frightened mentality, wishing to 'just get the birth over with,' but by the end, I was excited to go through this threshold together with my partner. Birthing consciously helped me connect with my child and myself in ways I cannot describe. I will be forever grateful for Mandy's teachings and I recommend her work to anyone who wishes for a more empowered and compassionate look at birth."
Ivy Huang says:
"Mandy’s program has been a transformative experience for me. Initially, I approached my pregnancy with a focus on the rational, logistics of birth, but not only have my fears around birth been alleviated, it has profoundly shifted my perspective toward embracing the journey into motherhood. I’ve come to realise that while everyone needs support, some of us need guidance in learning how to accept it."
Anne Loh says:
"As a new mother who was guided by Mandy’s work, and birthed my son last October in a normal yet non-conventional way, I believe that Mandy’s program will evoke a similar trajectory of self-inquiry for anyone in their birthing journey – an experience that can be deeply transformative, and not just a physiological burden to bear."
Emily Daly says:
"What a journey! I didn’t know how great it could be to have coaching through this very new chapter in my life. Mandy’s guidance has been a refreshing calm in a storm of noise and judgment surrounding birth and parenthood. Do it for yourself, your partner and your baby."
This isn’t your conventional birth education course.
You don’t just learn how to deliver a baby. You learn how to be a mother.
-
Most expectant mothers tell me what they want for birth is the safe arrival of their babies.
I say, that's the bare minimum to strive for.
Birth is a rite of passage.
It's a potent process that's more than the birth of the baby. It brings you to life as a mother.
It ignites wisdom from deep within your bones. It shapes who you're becoming and changes you at your core. It gives you confidence that will shape generations to come.
My program invites you to be an active participant in this transformational process.
You'll trust in your abilities to birth and navigate the challenges of motherhood.
You'll consciously embody your new role and identity.
You'll turn your limiting beliefs into guiding principles for nurture.
This program will build the foundation for you to become the mother you desire to be.
Hold my hand and let me guide you toward your inner confidence.
The women I’m working with are:

Are you ready to prepare for more than just the birth?

Frequently Asked Questions
How is this program different from other birth education classes?
Many traditional birth education programs are fundamentally developed from a patriarchal understanding of birth. They focus largely on the mechanics of our bodies during labor in modern medicalised settings.
Birth is an influential, significant and transformative event.
Contrary to popular belief, it's not something that happens in isolation. You bring into birth your mindset, your emotions, your preconceived notions about the world, your chosen circle of support - everything up until that point.
And through your birth experience, it alchemizes who you are into someone new; someone who has the potential to be much more conscious, authentic and wholehearted than who you were before.
Many of us struggle through this rebirth because we were never told or educated about how important this threshold is as a rite of passage. Or that there are powerful ways to move through it as an aware and active participant.
This program is birth education. But it's also a transformation of your beliefs. It's a safe space for the nuance and ambiguity of your emotions. It's a healing balm for the wounds you still carry. It's me believing in you and your abilities as a mother.
But perhaps most importantly, you'll be in a dedicated and private program learning to believe in yourself. You'll develop confidence and resilience to overcome what are inevitable challenges in motherhood.
This is a program you won't find anywhere else.
When is an ideal time to start this program?
Birth is a critical part of our lives and should be considered basic body literacy - so I say, as soon as possible.
Most women start this program in the second trimester.
For women closer to their due date, I'm able to offer shorter but deeper immersions. We can discuss this during the discovery session.
How long are the sessions and what is the duration of the program?
The sessions are typically 90 minutes each and held on a weekly basis.
It takes around 2 months to complete the program.
What can I expect from a typical session?
The sessions are structured in a personalised guided self-study and live coaching call format.
Typically we work with structured themes per session. However, depending on the challenges or goals you may have, you may be supported to work on what's coming up for you instead.
You'll be guided through personalised topics, self-reflection practices, and learn somatic and mindfulness-based exercises.
When and where are the sessions held?
All sessions are held online via Zoom.
I am based in Shanghai with my available times potentially suitable for Asia, Australia/New Zealand, early morning Europe, afternoon/evenings on the West Coast or evenings on the East Coast for USA/Canada.
How much support will I receive between each session and will I receive support after the program?
I'm available via email between each session. I'll do my best to offer you my guidance and support within a reasonable timeframe - typically within 1 business day closer towards the due date.
After the coaching program, I will continue to be your cheerleader and you may continue to email me with any quick questions or share your journey with me.
Should you need deeper support after the birth, I may also be available for additional coaching for early motherhood.
